Anyway, I tried the class-decidy-how-good-you-rank-at-iidx-relative-to-karate's-ranking-system option, and found that I could pass the 1st [yes 1st, as in I started at 7th and went up] Kyu rank course. Soo now my mission is to just practice practice practice at IIDX, and take the class-decidy-how-good-you-rank-at-iidx-relative-to-karate's-ranking-system whenever I feel I've made a good improvement.

You mean the Dan ranks? Those are definitely a good way to find out how good you are, though I still only barely understand it, lol.

Yea those.. Apparently the lower levels start with Kyu 7th, and go up to 1st, then Dan 1st thru 9th I think.. then the new rating that Gold gave it IIRC, Kaiden. Each test plays 4 songs, each successively more difficult than the last one. You pass it, yay for you.

Lowest is 7th kyu (on doubles lowest is 5th kyu) and the highest dan is 10th dan. In Distorted, Kaiden was added, which is basically the same as 10th dan (all 12s) but beefed up a lot. Distorted's Kaiden has the 4 hardest songs in the game (Go beyond is arguable) while Gold's Kaiden had an easy 12 (Fascination MAXX), the hardest 12 in Gold CS (Scorpion fire), and two special charts accessible only in the Kaiden course (Vanessa and Kamaitachi, with the latter having 2000 notes).

-AAA High [a]
-AAA Rottel the mercury 7k
-AAA Quasar 7k with FC

Passed, at my local r23 bitch of a machine, the song Dermeister2.0 sumthinorother by Rammenstein on Hard which says its an 11 but because its soooo freaking long and the stream beats the hell out of you I consider it an upper 12 maybe even a 13.....oh and I beat it with an 80.88 or something close to that...I took a screenshot but my friend hasn't sent me the pic yet because I was using his card (btw, the song was already on the machine which is why it played the whole song).

So I suddenly got pretty good at Boom Boom Rocket.  I'm not sure whether that's a good thing of a bad thing. :s  I unlocked all of the achievements and have been getting A**s on various things so, uh, I guess that's pretty okay.  I think I managed to get below than 100th place on a few charts, too.

It's a shame the timing in that game seems to be solely based on how many pixels you are away from the center of the target line...ugh, hate when games do that.  It makes endurance mode stupidly hard when the BPM goes too high over 200.

I dunno I had a RIDICULOUS slump like was struggling to clear really easy 12s getting near grades below on 11s and crap but I played through all of 10th and my timing got A LOT better and I can clear stuff again.

Pissed me off though after I got Golden cross I thought I could clear pretty much everything in the game and tried to clear quell and nageki but that didnt work out too well lmao.

I just fucking passed Raining Blood on Expert, no way, holy shit.

Granted, it's with a 133,872, but that song tortured me for months.
