It's alright dude! Just play stepmania for the fun of it! You'll get better, I'm sure!

Lies.

Stepmania is like a job, except it's more serious, because you don't get paid, so all the rewards come from the playing itself.  And the posting of your scores on websites.

You have to treat it like a sport, or learning an instrument, or like exercising.  You dedicate your life to it.  You spend the first hour of playing warming up, then you work on your speed or timing for a couple of hours.  And when your arms are too tired to take any more, you take a break, and a shower, and then you rest for a while and start over again.  And you do that every day.

Stepmania is serious business.

And before anyone asks, yeah, I'm passing my classes and keeping my GPA-related scholarships, and I have a smidgen of a social life.

Ouch. I still don't get how you can be that fast though. I mean, my left hand can't do drills of 16ths at like, 180 BPM, probably not even at 160 BPM, so anything much faster than about 200 BPM and my left hand can't do it period. (And that's streams, not drills)
This is going in my sig. :)

TOML is jumpstream, not trills.

So, way harder.

I was talking in general. And I didn't mean trills, I mean drills , like 4242424242 not 424 424 424 424.

I was saying that as far as just using my left hand goes, I can't go too quickly. Drills are really hard to keep going using only my left hand, which means that stream, even if it's faster, is easier because it's only using my left hand in bursts, which allows me to move it somewhat quicker than if I was simply doing drills.

I can do stuff like Ride on the Light, and Never Gonna Come Back Down (Both of which have jumpstreams and such at high speeds, IIRC) well, but anything above 16ths at 200 PBM is pretty much impossible for me for some reason. My hands just don't move fast enough.

Oh, and I have my first 5* on GH3 expert: Paranoid. I'll update with more info later, when I feel like going to scorehero.

My timing got a bit better.

Some new random AAAs on [n] and upped my Spin the disc [h/a] scores from Bs to As. Also improved my Colors [h] from a B to an A.

Finally ordered distorted and it should be shipping soon. I should start getting some DD scores up by next month (thank god BMUS is getting extremely boring).

My finger speed took a dramatic turn for the better.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}
