No one has 9*'d any song on any difficulty. I think the highest is 8.7, but I'd have to check all of the difficulties of all the games to check.

Well, I dunno how they got the cutoffs, but either way, that's just plain insane. If anyone 9*s something, we'll have a true guitar god.

I read in one of the FAQs that they found some way to calculate the cutoffs based on ratios of the lowest possible score (4* is double the base score, I'm not sure what the rest is).

Also, I got a better KoC score, but still about 60k below 5*.

Well Distorted is definitely different from BMUS for sure. It took me awhile to get the hang of everything...the rival management, how dans and courses work (which I still sometimes forget to set my speed BEFORE the song starts) and so on. Timing
I think is ever so slightly tighter than BMUS, I only have 2 AAAs so far in DD and they're on easy songs (level 2s) and songs like era [h] I can (EX) AA in BMUS but only A in DD. And the 9s and 10s in this game are ridiculously tough. I haven't managed to clear a single 10 and only a handful of 9s from the ones i've played so far.

Other than that i'm officially ranked 7-kyu!

The letter grades in BM US are actually two up from what they would be in the JP releases.  Basically, if you get an A in BM US, you'd get a C in IIDX JP.  If you get an A in IIDX JP, you'd get a AAA in BM US.

According to BM US, I can AAA V [7k].  Damn, I'm good.

Anyways doesn't matter I just played era for cardinal gate and got my best score on it so far.

Oh and i've cleared 2 10s on DD now, Ganymede [h] and Contract [h] (border cleared Contract ). I want to clear at least one of them in Standard so I can get the cardinal gate for free mode.

Beat 6-dan. Took 2 tries because Apocalypse [h] sucks. I might be able to beat 7-dan if I work on a certain part in Solid state squad [h]. How do I unlock 9/10 dans and Kaiden? Do I have to beat 8-dan to unlock 9/10, then 10-dan to unlock Kaiden?

Also, passed Kachoufuusetsu (Byakko) [h] with a C.

Only 10s i've passed so far are Cardinal gate ones >_>. There is one i'm working on though, Why did you go away [a].

Yes. You have to pass each one to get the next now.
