Comcast faced further public outrage after it admitted to paying people off the street to sit at a public hearing at Harvard, while members of the public were prevented from attending. At the time, Comcast claimed it merely paid people to save spots at the hearing for Comcast employees, but the event's organizer disputed that claim.

Wow. Those assholes.

Finally.

It's also good to see net-neutrality gain some ground.

We pressed on. Shortly afterwards, we arrived in a poisonous, post-apocalyptic hell - a sprawling, toxic dumping ground stretching for a mile or two. This is the final resting place for your old TV, computer or mobile phone.

Double-post. An update.

tldr; FCC isn't fining Comcast but instead going to make sure they don't fuck around again-- or else. FCC determined this sort of shit is unacceptable, and wants everyone to know.

I'm beginning to like Kevin J. Martin, as he sees the issue as not punishing comcast, but making an example of the way things SHOULD be. FUCKING FINALLY.

"Network management has never been defined, and they are now saying, 'We are defining it now and you violated it,' " said Sena Fitzmaurice, a Comcast spokeswoman.

This is more than just "BAWWW bittorrent", it's freedom for the internet. Fuck yes. FUCKING FINALLY.

good to see i'm not the only one that values net-neutrality over comcast punishment.

Yeah, I do think that comcast needs to be punished though. Sure, saying "don't do it again or else" is definitely a good thing, but saying "this time, we punish you this much, don't do it again, or else we'll punish you THIS much" sounds a little better to me.

Either way, go Net Neutrality!

Surprisingly enough this is actually a step in the RIGHT direction by the FCC for once.  They will one day find a way to stop us from obtaining free information, but until then I give you this comic!

Reasonable? More like control.
