Ahh, I didn't know about that stuff. I've completely forgotten about the Young Jedi stuff, lol (I've got 2 or 3 books of that here somewhere).

I can understand the feedback loop part, because that sounds perfectly feasible, providing that lightsabers would be technologically feasible in the first place.

And now that I think about it, I can partially explain how it could be "held", as well. Solar sails get their momentum from photons colliding with the atoms of the material the sail is made out of, so energy can make some effects on particles with mass despite being massless. That effect could also be the foundation for why Beskar Iron can be at least partially able to block light sabers. The only part that's missing is what would cause the blade to act as though it was ridged, rather than simply a focused beam of energy like it is more or less explained as (I happen to have one of those star wars encyclopedia books, though god knows where it is, which is why I know as much as I do).

Yeah. You should read up a bit on what's happened. The newest series takes place almost 20 years after the YJK series. Aside from Troy Denning's obnoxious writing style, it's pretty good, and they've really changed a lot of characters. Also some of them are dead. But that was back during New Jedi Order. Those were pretty much all great.

So someone on my hall who plays DDR said that he didn't like ITG because it seemed like the chart makers were focuser=d on making it hard and it hardly went with the music. I showed him some of my charts, and told him that these were on at least one ITG machine, and he was surprised to see that they were on beat.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

Christ, he says ITG doesn't follow the music? That has been my number 1 complaint about DDR steps pretty much since I began playing the officials, lol.
This is going in my sig. :)

Well, ho probably only saw some of C. Foy's charts or something.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

think i can consistently beat the albatross without dying now.  its to the point where i literally find the docks to be a harder level.

IF they decide to make a 2d sequel (note, the 2d, i know of the 3d sequel) i hope they make more levels like that, because its just fun going through even though its pretty easy now.

God, I still need to get a new mouse, after like, two years of having a crappy mouse whose click detector is severely bruised and ALWAYS double- or triple-clicks.

Why haven't I gotten a new mouse yet?!

Oh yeah, spec, which mouse should I get? :P

So I've been watching this show on the history channel called "102 minuets that changed history" and it's about 9/11. It's all footage from pedestrians and with this really creepy minimalistic music. It was really intense, it showed someone standing about 3 blocks from the WTC and the second plane crashing just over his head into a tower, then it showed people jumping from the towers along with a lot of horrified screams from pedestrians. It was a crazy show, I honestly had trouble watching it.

if you don't mind spending $40.00 on a kickass mouse

if you want a cheap, simple (no extra buttons), effective mouse.

Woo, just re-Lunick'd my former "router."  I love my little Dell.

I also love that it happens to have a TNT2 in it.  Definitely beats trying to use the integrated i810.  It's pretty flexible for a small desktop system, overall.  Two hard drives and a CD?  Perfect.  I don't need no stinkin' floppy drive.

I kind of doubt that it could boot off of the memory stick, but I can't really blame it considering its age.  How many systems from around 2000 have a nice boot menu and four USB (albeit USB 1.1) ports?  Even my USB-dependent PowerMac only has two (very fucking STUPID design decision on Apple's part), and that system is from 2002.

Logitech MX518. K. I'm GOING TO GET THAT. Srsly this time. Like, no joke.

Also, my girlfriend and I have been taking care of two baby squirrels we found in my backyard the past few days, but one died yesterday and the second one just now died. I made them a coffin  :'(

Poor guys. I feel so bad.
