1)  Riffs are bland and generic, despite that they are more complex than what other shit bands deploy.
2)  Vocalist is not classically trained, nor does he make an attempt to sing diverse notes.  Furthermore, when he attempts to sound like he's doing a "death growl", it comes out only slightly raspy while maintaining what I dislike about his normal singing.
3)  Verse-chorus-verse-chorus, generic.
4)  Pretentious attitudes; this obviously does not affect their music, but it would at least strengthen my dislike for them.  They say things like "we're the new Slayer!"  Slayer also sux.

I can at least respect that.
This is going in my sig. :)

so i'm pulling an all-nighter just for funsies, even though i have to leave for school in four hours.

ahhh, good times.

I've been busy as tits lately, working 6 days a week (the most they can legally make me work while i'm still attending high school) and being very very active (both physically and socially).

things should slow down next week, which will be verrrry nice.

So I thought I was fucked when I saw that I'd scored a 35 on my history exam's essay, then I found out it was out of 40 points, not 100.

EDIT: I wonder if putting my Twitter's RSS feed into Twitterfeed would cause recursion...

EDIT2: Damn, it wouldn't let me.

I finally got Ubuntu working on my system.

If your first reaction to that line is "wtf, Ubuntu ain't hard" then you've never tried installing it on a system with a RAID 0+1 or 1+0 configuration.  Sure, the alternate install CD picks up RAID0/1/5 without an issue, but it completely crashes and burns on raid10.  I had to jump through about a hundred thousand hoops just to get the installer to do its thing (including recompiling some system libraries to skate around a raid10-related bug in Debian/Ubuntu's patch set for libparted).  I also had to go without a swap partition because due to the way my array was being listed after I applied the workaround (the whole array was listed three times, in addition to each of my partitions being listed as separate disks) it couldn't properly format the swap space.  Speaking of that, I should probably make a swap space and enable it before I forget again, shouldn't I?

Getting the system to actually boot was just as much of a hassle and required me to write an initramfs script.

But, whatever.  It works (for now).

Jesus christ, that is a lot of work just because of one small detail about your system.
This is going in my sig. :)

My friend is the most paranoid man alive. We were at a fairly small party that was just a few cars pulled around a keg along the back of a canal. So we head back to this power sub station for the hell of it, and on the way back we see a car. So, my paranoid friend says "hey, lets go exploring" in an almost panicky voice, my other friend who was somewhat sober said "wait, hold on" to which he replied "no really, I feel like exploring" and he started motioning backwards. After a bit my friend gets a call and it's just some other kids leaving. I've never seen someone act that way after so little, I mean I'm not exactly the type of person who would get stoned and then go out to eat somewhere but he flipped out about a car.

Heh, that happened to one of my friends after he had about a third as much as me. He was going like 20 mines an hour and was ridiculously paranoid because the person behind him was following so close.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

You need to talk to those guys when they're not stoned and try to see if you can get them to try to ignore the paranoia. I had a moment or 2 of paranoia, but once I realized that it was the weed making me paranoid, I was able to ignore it.

It only happened the first time. It was really funny.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}

Jesus christ, that is a lot of work just because of one small detail about your system.

I don't know if I'd call it a small detail, but yeah, it was kind of a pain.  That said, I'm not at all sorry for having to do it.  It was a good opportunity to learn about Ubuntu's init system and what makes it tick.

From a user's standpoint, however, I'm incredibly disappointed with its abysmal support for RAID.  Then again, I can't really fault Ubuntu specifically for that.  Linux in general is very RAID-unfriendly (it doesn't help that GRUB has no effing clue what RAID is, either), some distros are just less friendly than others.

My friend got a tattoo yesterday. Check it:

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}
