« on: December 25, 2008, 02:02:04 AM »
hay guyz. merry christmas to everyone, even though it's barely christmas yet.

post fun things you gave to people or have recieved. the usual christmas chatter.

i bought my friends really cheap but awesome gifts: a book of poems about teenage angst by some 15 year-old, a spaghetti-o's thermos-bowl (filled with skittles), a pokemon keychain and Princess Guinevere Magical Fairyland DVD, a Rolodex, some BBs, and Evergreen room spray from Bath N' Body Works. Each for different friends. :D

a pokemon keychain and Princess Guinevere Magical Fairyland DVD

The crap? lol.

I got a bunch of scratch lottery tickets on Christmas eve at my GF's place. And I got a movie gift card. No idea how much is on it though, lol.

I'll post later about my goodies when I get them, though I really have no damned clue what I'm getting, since I didn't tell my parents anything until the day before Christmas eve. All I really want out of this is an MP3 player of some sort (I'd prefer one that I can buy SD cards for, so I can just keep getting more cards and putting more music on them. It'd be cool since my laptop can read cards, so I could also play them right from the card on my laptop) and some Grado SR60 (or 80 if I get a lot of money and can afford to spend that much of it) headphones. I'd prefer the SR80's, but I HIGHLY doubt I'll have enough money to really afford them.
This is going in my sig. :)

Let's see...my nice but short list of presents:

1) Quake IV (I can't get it to work on my vista)
2) Marine Sharpshooter 3 (haven't installed yet but probably same problem)
3) School Tycoon (most likely #2)
4) Total Annihilation (most likely #2)
5) Professional Domino/Chips thing...they are actually really nice and the chips seem really real.
6) Lexmark Scanner/Printer/Copier (need a USB connector for the computer, stupid thing didn't come with one)
7) Cooler for my laptop
8. 2 polos
9) usual little stuff
10) $25 gift card to game trader (like game stop but they have older games for NES, SNES, PS1, GB, GBC, Sega Genesis, and they sell the old systems too when they have them in.)

Altogether I'm happy-ish with my stuff because I can understand why I didn't get all glamorous stuff.  Main reason was that my parents have been struggling for a long long time (around 15 years) but they still manage to find things that I find cool for a reasonable price.  So that taken into account I'm happy and I can't wait for the 28th which is my birthday but I don't know what I am going to get.  I have wanted a Wii for a little while and I've also wanted a couple other things for a little while so I am excited/not excited at the same time for my christmas and birthday this year.
New updates for the pack Calamitous Strike posted here in my sig...also no PM's about BG's/BN's yet...I still need art for my songs.

Update: 9/28/08--Added expert difficulties for some songs and a hard difficulty
9/30/08--Changed reasoning for song pack and added a few songs to Not Started
10/5/08--Finished AA and have keyboard steps in the second parentheses
10/14/08--Finished Do It Like We Do and working on a few new ones

Dude, not everything blows up when you try to play it on vista. My UT99 works perfectly, and that game is pretty oldschool.

In any case, I just got  a bunch of cloths and such, because my parents have been struggling lately, thanks to real estate being hard to make much money off in your first couple years, and the sorry state of the auto industry in Canada and the US starving my dad of work (He does mechanical design, usually designing things for the guys who manufacture car parts).

In any case, I got:
1) A nice sueded leather coat (I've been needing a nice coat for a while)
2) Nice sueded leather gloves
3) Some nice hiking boots, because my current shoes aren't the greatest in winter, and these should keep my feet warmer
4) 2 cool shirts from my grandmother, and 1 hoodie that was too small :/
5) A leather wallet, my old one was getting a bit beat up.
6) $250 from my grandparents, which means I'm gonna buy some Grado headphones whenever I can.

I don't think I missed anything...
This is going in my sig. :)

how do you guys get so much spending money?  I got two $20 checks from my grandmother on one side and aunt, and $20 cash from my grandparents on my other side.

I got:

1) Toiletry kit
2) Drawing for Dummies
3) Something called The Keyboard Bible
4) Assorted chocolates, which my little brother stole/ate
5) Candy cane
6) Coal-shaped bubble gum
7) Cool bird-shaped pen
8) All-in-one tool set (looks a lot like a Swiss army knife)
9) Super Paper Mario

My mom and dad bought a Wii for the whole family and Wii Play.  My sister also got Twilight Princess.

Well my grandparents gave me 100 cash, and my aunt/uncle gave me a 25 dollar check, which in total gives me $375 to work with. Oh and I'm using most of the money for a new tattoo. I want to get a black widow spider on my arm :D

Side note, Valkyrie was really good.

{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}

Nirvana Unplugged in New York

That is an awesome album, I actually bought that when I saw it a while ago. It's a nice small very personal live show, sounds like they're doing a private house party or something, minus the really good acoustics.
This is going in my sig. :)

Stuff:

-Black checkered Skullcrusher headphones (since my other set was stolen by some worthless, piece of shit hotel employee about a year ago).
-A fancy teal Skullcandy t-shirt.
-Ghirardelli Caramel-filled chocolate squares (FUCKING YUM).
-Two sets of pajamas, one with Stewie from Family Guy and the other with the Coca Cola polar bears.
-The first two Son of Rust CDs (Six Years of Gene Therapy and Vicious Cycles).
-A pair of ridiculously comfortable slippers.
-Socks, undies, practical clothing.
-A pair of gloves.
-A page-a-day calendar.
-An Old Spice gift set.
-Subway and Besy Buy gift cards.
-Some munnyz.

Most of the gifts are practical ones.  Definitely not a bad thing...the last thing I need is more crap in my tiny room.

That is an awesome album, I actually bought that when I saw it a while ago.

Couldn't agree more.

If you can find the DVD of the concert, pick that up as well.  Definitely worth it.
