Though I have to say, you actually type "command" for the command prompt? Why not just cmd... It works just the same, and "command" brings up more stuff for me, as well as taking longer to type.

If I really need to use the command prompt I'll type Win+R, cmd, enter.  I've done that since Windows 2000.

I was just giving an example of how quick the start menu search is.

I always forget win+r, lol. I'm not used to using the win key for anything, aside from when I accidentally fuck up and hit it instead of something else.
This is going in my sig. :)

I can't wait to get a better computer so my Windows experience score or whatever isn't 2.1... Aside from that (which isn't really Microsoft's fault) I can't think of anything worth mentioning that I don't like about 7. For some reason though, when I open a video in Media Player Classic, my theme reverts to Windows 7 Basic. It's not a big deal but I would like to figure that out eventually.

IIRC, It does that because you can't use hardware acceleration on video when your in Aero.

Spec knows.

Generally, issues like that are driver-related.  If a display is capable of actually running Aero, it can handle pushing video out without dropping back to Vista/7 Basic.  Even my laptop, which could barely handle Aero (especially if translucency is on...ugh), was able to do accelerated video with Aero on without an issue.

Hmm, I thought I read something about not being able to do video rendering (as in, video files) while in aero....

Maybe he accidentally set the "Disable Desktop Composition" option in compatibility?

No, video rendering within a compositing window manager is completely possible as long as the drivers and card can manage it.  It's no different than 3D accelerated games rendering videos onto a surface.
