I think the only reason that it sucks is because unless you really know a lot about games, and I mean a LOT, and about EVERYTHING, people will assume that you're an incompetent douche and treat you as such. I do hear that EB is way better than Gamestop.

In other news, operation went smoothly, i'm in pretty good shape so far. I've decided that I freaking love being anesthetized, and painkillers are freaking awesome. I got some pretty amazing pictures of me being an idort right after coming out of the anesthaesia. It's still too early to determine if it's going to be painful much or anything, and how swollen I'm going to get, so I'm going to hold off until this weekend when the worst of it is over and post a thread detailing my adventures, and photos, and such. Here's a teaser, though. This was taken almost immediately after I realized that I wasn't like, KO'd anymore, when my attendant left the room. I had trouble keeping my right eye open, and there's gauze in my mouth. My hair managed to get horribly messed up during the operation somehow, I didn't notice until I got home, so I normally don't look THAT silly.

Gamestop merged with them recently.

My best bud works at one one day a month to keep his renting priveleges. The only way that working at that store would suck is if the people that work there already suck.  The company in general is fine.. like I said the main rub would lie with your boss at that store +scheduling + it's not the highest paying job you could probably get.

Yes, which is the main reason that EB's started to go downhill. EB is a far better company than Gamestop, it's just that they're all one big mediocre-fest now. I'd rather just go buy my games at Target or something, where I know there won't be large lines (for medium-sized releases, not your Halo 3 line up for weeks garbage or horribly obscure games that you're lucky to find even at a specialty game store).

Except this store is really amazing. Its not very big, and as for scheduling it looks like I have lots of freedom.

Also the people there are pretty awesome too.

My other possibility is a place called Pixel Perfect and its all about pictures and frames and so on. The back is a giant room where you can get family pictures and such taken too.

And like I said, we'll just have to see how it all goes. I haven't heard anything bad about EB or anything, but whatever, I'll know soon.

As for ignorant asses, I know how to deal with them. And this is only my second job, and I did just move, so I'll take what I can get for now and move on when something better pops up.
