I had an awesome dream last night. I was in a nerd-hobby shop (TCGs, D&D, Warhammer, etc) and I was looking through a bunch of stuff, and I wanted to examine a bunch of it, and I discovered that I could open stuff in new tabs, and click back and forth between them in real life.

Greatest dream ever. It means we must play magic >:V

Man I wish I could wake up before 2:30. I guess I shouldn't drink a code red and some green tea past 12.

First meeting of German Club was today. Aside from, like, NHS, I think it's the most popular club at the school. There were about 50 or 55 people packed in the little German classroom, it was awesome.

I'm going to make some awesome craft out of some of the things I find on the ground at my work :D

Also, cutting glass is really strange. The blade used to do it probably couldn't cut your finger no matter how hard you try XD It basically just puts a little scratch on the glass, then you use a little thing to push off the part you don't want. IT'S WEIRD MAN!!

I need to write my grandma a letter.

Yeah, that's because you're more breaking the class than cutting it.

Yeah, that's because you're more breaking the class than cutting it.

I remember my dad had a few of those when he used to install windows, weird things because it hardly cuts the glass but it will brake on that line.

There's only about four German speakers

This year was the first year I ever had a Japanese speaker in my school.

I'm on my school's Whiz Quiz team this year. Some of my friends got me to join so I could be the math guy.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

So, I'm making an online pokemon card game/community. If anyone's interested in helping out, let me know.

We pressed on. Shortly afterwards, we arrived in a poisonous, post-apocalyptic hell - a sprawling, toxic dumping ground stretching for a mile or two. This is the final resting place for your old TV, computer or mobile phone.

WOOT

I just got a call from Elcan. I've got a Pre-Employment test Thursday (this week or next, I'm not sure, and I need to call to make sure, lol)

I need to bring my Grade 12 Diploma and 2 or 3 work references (I haven't really worked anywhere before, so that's kinda a problem). I'll be bringing a copy of my reference letter from my teacher I got from co-op, hopefully they'll like that.
This is going in my sig. :)

I found a formula for finding Pythagorean triples when the shortest leg is an odd number. I’ve found it works in every case I’ve tried as long as it’s positive. Technically, it even works for 1.

A^2 = B + C
B + 1 = C
A^2 + B^2 = C^2

3^2 = 4 + 5
4 + 1 = 5
3^2 + 4^2 = 5^2

47^2 = 1104 + 1105
1104 + 1 = 1105
47^2 + 1104^2 = 1105^2

255^2 = 32512 + 32513
32512 + 1 = 32513
255^2 + 32512^2 = 32513^2

1457^2 = 1061424 + 1061425
1061424 + 1 = 1061425
1457^2 + 1061424^2 = 1061425^2

I found this in my English class while the teacher was lecturing about the Iliad. I think I like math too much.

Dude.
You like math too much.
that's badass, but still.

That is one reason I like math. Because no matter how you are taught something, you can always do it a different way. Math is infinite in how you can achieve something as long as you know the basic relations between numbers.

My teacher once taught us how to do something like this:
You sell x tickets.
y tickets are sold at $5
z tickets are sold at $10
You made $A from the sales
How many of each did you sell?

(of course, x was known and A was known)

I couldn't remember, so I noticed that the prices were a basic ratio, 2:1, and if you sold X tickets, it was simply a matter of applying the ratio.
I noticed this in about 5 minutes, after being completely blanked on a test. I still got docked marks for doing it wrong. Fuckers. I learned more about how to answer that sort of question than anyone else in the class. I learned the fundamental relationship between the price, the profit, and the number of tickets sold.

I could continue on a rant about how school is a perversion of the original idea of learning, but I think not.
