easiest update ever.

EVER.

That was EXACTLY how web updates need to be. Christ, why can't all websoftware do this shit? *pouty face*

QFFT.  I don't even think I have any normal programs that are this easy to update.  Even if the updater was the only thing SMF had going for it I'd still be impressed with it.

Also, where can I find the backend scripting for SMF?

You mean to write mods and the like?

Changes are applied directly to the PHP files in smf/Sources.  I'm not entirely sure how to get changes made directly to the PHP files to be made into proper mods, though.  I'm sure a basic diff-like tool exists for that.

Some caller on 98 rock (MD rock station, kinda bad but my mom listens to them) called in and got past the screen, and spoiled Halo 3's ending lmfao wrecked.

Apparently the one on youtube wasn't the right one. Spoiler-Master chief lives, but gose to sleep, go figure.

I got Halo 3 on Tuesday. Its a pretty fun game. The graphics impressed me when I first saw them and still get to me sometimes.

Gameplay is a little different with the inclusion of the bumpers. You swap weapons with them instead of holding x, so it seems kinda weird, but it kinda works at the same time. New weapons are kinda nifty. The plasma turrets and the machine gun turrets can be broken off their stands, but one you break them off they only have a limited supply.

New usable items too, other than cloaking and overshields. Things like the power drain and regeneration are pretty nifty if you use them properly.

The fact that you have some allies other than the human race is kinda cool too. There is a big aspect on fighting with your people, its not all "you alone must save the universe." So far in the first few levels that I've played, I've always had some marines or Elites nearby. Its pretty cool to be working along side them.

So far I'm really quite happy with it, but you should really make up your own mind. I'm just one gamer :p

You know what's sad?  The one change to DDR SuperNOVA 2 that excites me the most is the addition of Marvelous grading to normal gameplay.  They should have had that back in Extreme AC (and, from what I've heard, they did for a while).

I think it would be kinda difficult to find the right item then get put into the right position to be able to use it. Some things like that big shield  almost seem useless. Now the turret kind of seems overpowering, unless you have a damn decent long range weapon or the sword. The graphics do look pretty damn good tho.

Really? That's pretty awesome, I really need to keep up more with what's going on in the Bemani world.

Woo, so I recompiled every package in my Gentoo installation because of the new versions of imlib and expat are binary incompatible with the previous versions (hence, breaking everything) and created a bit of dependency hell (i.e. couldn't recompile many of the packages that used imlib because they depended on expat, and vice versa) so, out of sheer annoyance, I just rebuilt it all overnight.

It took about 10 hours of straight compiling (the goliaths -- like kdelibs, gcc, glibc, among others -- take a hellaciously long time to build). O.O  But hey, everything works without a hitch!

Wanna know what's really sad? DDR Hottest Party has better steps than SN2. Its only problem is that it apparently lacks speed mods which doesn't bother me but would probably anger nearly everyone else.

... Fuck....

Having ~465 packages installed will do that, haha. :P

I wish I had the distcc setup that I was using when I worked at my last job.  Now THAT was nice...

Heh, that's why I generally play revivals when I play SuperNOVA.  Not a whole lot of charts really stand out to me.

Its only problem is that it apparently lacks speed mods which doesn't bother me but would probably anger nearly everyone else.

Seems a bit odd but, eh, I can deal with that.

Yes it would. God I need C400, lol.

C-mods do not exist in didder, mortal!

I realize that, but I still need that speed, lol. It is pretty much the perfect speed for me to play DDR at. (Though passing Max300 on easy at 1.5x arrows the second time I played an arcade was kinda fast, lol.)

EDIT: On a completely unrelated side note, I started a blog about my Shakugan no Shana translation project: http://bobbias.blogspot.com
(It can also blog on other hosts, so if I get some space here, I can use it to blog on my site too, maybe. Not sure how that function works exactly.)
