But then he can't make 1200 BPM 16th note streams.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

Why would anyone do that on purpose?

If they did, they'd use 32nd notes anyway.

...Which, IIRC, don't exist in FL.

Yes they do, you just need to change a setting. Either that, or you can switch to the piano view thingie and edit them there and get insaanely small timings, like 128th notes. It's not that hard.
This is going in my sig. :)

Wow I hope people weren't looking forward to playing drums in Rock Band. The Best Buy near here set up their demo unit while I was there (looking for Virtua Fighter 5 and failing to find it sadly ;_;) and so I was the first one to try it around here.

Right off the bat, the pads were randomly dropping notes and being fairly unresponsive. If you hit too hard, it either sets off the other drums (possibly could set off the 360 home button, which would be frustrating to say the least) and gives you a miss or you don't register at all. Even with that, the songs on Expert were all extremely easy. It was like playing on maybe the upper levels of Basic on Drummania. Graphically, the game's pretty lame too. The look of the notes seems like a more sterile Guitar Hero, almost like a sim. The band on stage ran at a pretty choppy framerate and won't impress anyone.

There also didn't appear to be any way of sorting by difficulty that I saw. Songs were just sorted by genre (oh hey how many ways can you sort ROCK).

RB and GH both suck IMO.

GH isn't even anything that complicated that anyone who has a decent amount of music game experience couldn't pick up in a week or two (maybe besides Jordan and the new retarded shit on GHIII).

I don't think anything on GH3 is retardedly difficult except the Dragonforks song. I didn't have any problems passing anything on that besides Raining Blood, and that's because it has this absurd section in the beginning. Even the solo in One was short enough that I could BS my way though it and survive.

Yeah, is GH3 worth getting? I've never owned a GH game but 2 was quite fun. I just don't know if it's worth shelling out a hundred bucks for.

Also, I don't know about you guys, but my halloween kicked ass. I went to a party with a whole bunch of my friends, many lulz and good times ensued. Also, my new car is awesome, and really fun to drive. It has a lot more personality than my mom's sterile 2006 Impala. The only downside to it is that I can't play CDs or hook up my Zune, but smooth jazz on FM radio is a fine alternative. Or I could just find some good cassettes...

tl;dr I'm awesome
