Oof. I had quite a scare today. I was out with my friends for the first time since surgery and I ate at Erbert & Gerbert's (it's a place that's like Subway only good) and I decided to try their new sub, the Quatro. It's basically a cranberry wasabi sauce on chicken, cheddar cheese and some bacon on wheat bread. It tasted pretty good! However, either my medicine didn't react well with me this time or the wasabi part of the sandwich (wasabi being somewhat spicy) totally wanted to destroy my insides because for about a half hour I thought I was going to die. I was all afraid that oh shit now I have liver stones or something?! No, your liver is thankfully not directly in the stomach region. So at least I know this was some sort of food digestion problem. It wasn't pleasant at all. Still not as bad as gallstones though.
So basically, the moral of the story is that I guess my stomach and liver have yet to adapt and thus don't know what to do with spicy foods and couldn't create the correct amount of bile to break down my food, which meant I was basically pulling my food through my digestive tract in large chunks. I know it wasn't the fat content because I already tried eating a Totino's pizza earlier in the week and those are pretty bad for you.
