When I registered this domain five years ago to this day I intended to use it simply as blog space. I didn't actually put a forum up until several days later (the 14th, I believe). Who would have thought that it would still be around, living longer than its big brother -- Arch0wl.com -- even? I certainly never thought that I'd be sitting here, five years after the fact, typing this message right now. pLog turned into nothing, which turned into WordPress, which turned back into nothing, but the forums just kept on going through thick and thin so much that it basically became the site. It's small, yes, but certainly active and very lovable. I don't exactly know when, or why, I decided to start my own forums, or how I managed to coerce people to join it, but I'm glad that I did.
Getting things started was just the catalyst, of course. The real stars of the show are all of you guys, the people who stayed on board and continued to put up with me for all this time. We've gained people, we've lost people, we've changed servers, we've started from scratch a couple of times, we've had our share of ups and downs, but most importantly, we've stuck together through the years -- half a decade! -- and made this site what it is today.
So, before I get too weepy and sentimental, I'd just like to say this:
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making this site into what it is now. Here's to another five years of awesomeness!
