To be honest, I don't remember, I might of.

$300 isn't that high of a price to pay for a pad that's going to last for quite a while.  You can get metal pads for as cheap as $100-$200, but they're not going to hold up like a Flux would.

I bought my Flux used for $150 and it's gone through a few tournaments as well as a lot of stomping from the previous owner (and me).  Aside from a few scuffed panels, the thing's in perfect shape.

I bought (2) cobalt flux 1st gen. pads in July 2003. I have used them since then (my weight has fluctuated from 200 to 250lbs)...Both together were $700 bucks, but they've lasted for all these years...best part is that they still work PERFECTLY.  It was an investment, and I'm sure I'll be using these for another 10 years if not longer.
