I think you might be forgetting a bunch of variables in this formula for butthurtedness.
1.) Your humor is probably specifically designed FOR your friends and people in your neighborhood which is why they appreciate it
2.) The internet and real life are two completely different mediums for humor. The way people perceive your typed humor versus your personal face-to-face humor is a lot more ambiguous.
3.) Don't let one person whom you've only met online (I'm assuming), is not only in another region of the planet, a different age group and overall demographic, soil your opinion of yourself.
Think of it like this: ONE person from the INTERNET says you're not funny, but SEVERAL people who KNOW YOU PERSONALLY say you are.
Also, take anything in text form with a grain of salt. I can't tell you how many time I've let unclear text messages cause me immense distress.
