I still remember when some of my friends started playing FFXI. Then a bunch of them said they'd never play it. Then a week later they were all playing it. Then every time we'd hang out it would just suck because they'd all be jabbering away about some retarded mmo thing and I wouldn't care.

Then WoW came out and they all moved to that. Then they all started getting all drama-y about it and I just flat out told them I'd had enough of it and that if they were going to just talk WoW all the time I wasn't going to do anything with them anymore because it wasn't fun. Then most of them quit playing MMOs but there's still a weird split between most of them because of it.

That's actually really sad. I've been close to doing that when my friends got really into wow, and the only time they would hang would be to play it.

So my birthday is in one week. Gotta figure out what I want to tell people to get me. Any ideas?

This week at my new job, I made:

Cream of carrot soup (Twice, even.  The first batch I made sold out in just a few hours.)
Onion and herb bread
Many salads
Blueberry scones
Russian vegetable pie
A metric fuckton of tea

and I made them my awesome croutons.  :V

Next week, they're showing me how to make all the types of cookies they have.  So enthused. <3

Either of those, or I get it from Steam when it's on sale.  Usually if I pirate it and like it, I go buy it, though (like Unreal Tournament).
