Ohhhh, new addition to the H8 list- ReiserFS. I tried it out because, hey, I may as well. I don't like using one thing for no reason when there are alternatives about. ReiserFS adds quite a bit of waiting to my boot process, it doesn't really integrate with other linux components (everything implementation I've seen has reiser plugging in to the kernel and everything else trying to work around it- specialised 'fsck'? what the fuck) and I never felt like changing because I was convinced that a hot linux geek could never kill his wife.
However, I've discovered that copying files to and/or from reiser across different filesystems sometimes results in corruption. Corruption, like, say, of SPSSinstaller.exe. A rather large download that I had to fucking install windows for, corrupted. Again, I am on 64/64 and this assignment was due *monday*. So far I've lost 20% and stand to lose 30% by the end of the day, when it'll finish downloading again. The installer probably wasn't even that corrupted, but it senses a change in the force, bitches, and refuses to install. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
I want to crawl into a hole and sob uncontrollably while typing up my resume until I get a job or spectere comes to rescue me and we make out in the ol' potato farm.
