I swear that those people need to be placed in a seminar to help them understand that while they can believe those thing, it has no bearing on their class, and there should be some review system that allows them to locate and confront teachers who allow their ideas to come into the classroom.
Teachers in my school don't talk about their beliefs, religious, or political. There's only 1 teacher I've met who does share his ideas, and he makes it clear that he's talking as a person, not as a teacher. He's not trying to sway us, but simply explaining how he sees things. He also happens to be fairly liberal, if not socialist to some degree. And probably some libertarian ideas as well, lol. If you could ever fuse libertarianism and socialism in perfect harmony, he would likely believe in that.
