Up to five potatoes.  Not bad for a couple of hours.

Not a bad way to discover some kickass games, too.  <3 Rush.

I got about 90% of the way into the gold on my first try in Audiosurf and was too depressed by that to try again. <_<

Then again, that's pretty much a typical game for me in Audiosurf, so I shouldn't be too worried.  I just play that game to chillax because I don't think that game is fun to play competitively at all.

Sent you a request. I also have a year old request sent to Bobbias.

Also I'll be down for Portal 2 and basically anything online (just got Magicka which is awesome, and I have a lot of coop/multiplayer games).

I know, right?

Well, less than four hours to go, and Killing Floor and Super Meat Boy are getting pretty close to done "calculating:" http://www.aperturescience.com/glados@home/

I'm switching back and forth between the two of them, so I guess I'm helping! :D

Holy.  Shit.  Portal 2 is amazingly hilarious.

It's not as quotable as the first one, which seems to actually prove the existence of some form of deity.  Maybe I won't hear people constantly babbling off lines to this one.

I got to chapter 6-ish before I realized that it was way past my bedtime.  Sleep deprivation FTW.  I wish I could have finished it in one sitting, but I do have to work in...six hours, and I don't want to be completely dead tomorrow.  I'm kind of happy that I was among the first 10,000 people to play it.  When the GlaDOS@Home page refreshed on my other monitor after starting the game, it read 5,656.  So yeah, I was a single digit in that statistic, not one among 1000. :p

Graphically, I'm super-impressed by the lighting engine in the game.  Holy crap, have we come a long way.  It looks like they're still using the Source 2007 engine judging by a look at my SteamApps directory, but Valve really outdid themselves with regards to their attention to detail.  Plus, the game runs silky smooth on my system with nearly maxed out settings (I left anti-aliasing at the default 4xMSAA, and bumped anisotropic filtering up to 8x...I should be able to push those up a bit more, but it's really not a huge deal to me).  Most older games with worse visuals don't run that well, so kudos to Valve for proving that optimization and light-weight DRM actually make a huge difference.

Enjoy your 32% and hat store. Really, that's bummed me right out.

Eh?

I hear the game was getting stuck at 32% decryption because the steam servers where loaded. Also the in game hat store is a bit much.

Also, tell me how long it is. It sounds like it's rather short (not portal short, but still) and I'm unsure about the coop lasting.

Ah, gotcha.

It might have been because I jumped on that shit quickly, but mine decrypted rather quickly after hitting 32%.  It crawled up to that point, then shot up to 100% and I was able to play.  And it was Good.

I haven't checked out any co-op related stuff yet, since my main Portal 2 partner in crime was busy playing Mortal Kombat, but hopefully that'll happen sometime this week.

I've been going through the game at a pretty easy pace.  It's hard to give you any specific progress without spoiling it, but I believe I'm on chapter 6 and I'm about 2.5 hours in.  The first game took me 3 hours at the same pace, so it's longer than the first, at least.  I'm guessing that it'll be around 5 or 6 hours at a relaxed pace, based on where I am right now.  So, probably short, but far more enjoyable than most of the longer games that have come out recently.  I'm not exaggerating when I say that playing Portal 2 gives me great joy.

I'm about halfway through chapter 8 in Portal 2. It's been a good 6 hours.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}
