My diet seems to be going well! I lost 30 pounds in 3 months so far (currently 243 pounds; aiming for 185).
It has been a trial and error process, but I think I know how much I should consume. First time ever drinking...several weeks ago was like 530ml of 80 proof rum out of the bottle...
LESSON LEARNED, don't do that.
Yeah, that's a bad idea, haha.
When I drink (which is pretty rare) I usually drink a bit slowly (shots being the main exception) and, more importantly, spread them out a bit. Much like when you eat, you don't feel the effects right away, so you could end up overdoing it and not even realizing if it you're too quick.
I generally stop when I feel buzzed, at the latest. If you go much further than that you're probably not going to be too happy when you wake up.
Seems to have worked out well for me so far.
We had CenturyLink DSL for the past year.. paid for 40Mbps, barely got 12-20Mbps any given day. Shitty Zyxel modem/router's Wireless never worked properly and they were hardasses about sending us a new one for free/charging for a technician to come out there.
That was the "quality" of service that I got with AT&T DSL. Paid for 6/1.5, actually got 3/0.6. This happened with both the modem that I got from them as well as a D-Link that I bought separately.
I switched to Time Warner (I seem to be one of the only people who don't have any issues with them, though that might be because I have far more Comcast experience than I'd like), pay for 50/5 and generally end up getting 55/5.5. Can't complain! The modems that they use (the brand name escapes me for some reason) seem to be fairly reliable. When I was still on their 25mbps plan I had a shoddy POS that I'd have to reboot once a week. Now I usually only have to reboot it every two months or so.
Kind of sad that I have to reboot them at all when my router chugs along without an issue, but oh well. C'est la vie!
