Yeah, when you mentioned the model number, I knew which one you meant, but for me, going from 2 19 inch monitors to 1 9 inch screen would drive me absolutely mad.

Why? Those things are basically only useful for browsing the web (albeit dealing with a small screen even makes that a bit less fun than it should be, and basic things like word processing.

Erm, actually the Eee's are pretty well-equipped for what you pay for them.

Not to mention that there are numerous instances where ultra-portables are considerably more useful than full-sized laptops.  I don't particularly mind hauling my 17+" laptop around, but for most tasks that I perform on the go an ultra-portable would be more than adequate.

Also, a small screen is certainly not worse than a larger high-resolution screen.  I'm sure the display on an ASUS Eee is far more readable for most than my laptop's 1200p screen.

I have acknowledged that it can be useful at times (this conversation has been going on in 2 threads, lol), but even if it's more "readable", adjusting to a 9 inch screen from dual 19 inch widescreens would REALLY bug me, it's simply the screen space itself that I'd miss. Even when I have to use someone else's setup with only 1 monitor, I feel weird.

holy jesus, FA is up.  well, its a bit buggy right now (like click a page, and the screen goes white, so basically click back then re click the link over and over till it goes through) but that ok, they will work the kinks out soon with the new hardware.

i expect over 100 submissions (considering its been down for 31 days, i actually expect near 600[i have a lot of people on my watch list]) by the time i wake up.

i made myself 4 mozzerella grilled cheese sandwiches on wheat bread (WHEAT > WHITE) and with the help of cream cheese, i devoured them all.  it was ORGASMIC.

kind of funny that every time i make sammiches, i eat nearly half a loaf of bread.  IM STILL SKINNY ;o
