Nope, I live in Pennsylvania.  Somehow, the vast majority of the Hispanic population (of which there are like...20 people around here) is employed at the restaurant in which I want to work.  Haha

Haha.  We're not terribly diverse in my immediate area.  I think there was like a grand total of ten black people in my high school, a butt-ton of Indians, and one French chick.

The local black population seems to be growing around here though.  I never used to see any black folk on my bus, but now I's seeing them.  Neat.

All things considered, Midland does do better than Thunder Bay where I went to school. The cultural diversity there revolved around italians, polish, the fins, northern ontario white people, the natives (which made up around half the population), and at most 5 blacks, hispanics and asians combined

You should have seen my graduating class, shit had like ONE asian, one black guy, and a few hispanics (but still 70% less than what you'd think for south Florida).

Man, I kinda hate being from a pretty much all-white small town. I find it hard to not be conscious of all the different races and such when I go to places with more diversity. Hell, I went to Mississauga a while back because a friend wanted surface piercing in his back. Well, the place he got it done was in the back of an all-black barber shop. That was rather awkward at first. They had it divided and such so it wasn't just some guy piercing my friend in the back of some place, but even so, I was really off-put by the well, "blackness" of the front place.
