I hate Sprint.
I get very good reception in my apartment with T-Mobile. My phone has no qualms about hitting up GPRS and doing some data communications. All in all, life is good for my V3x.
My company BlackBerry, on the other hand, seems to hate my room. It's very rare that I see CDMA phones with lower reception than GSM phones, but in this case it's a reality. I was trying to use TeleNav (which also blows...more on that later if I'm in the mood) earlier so that I could get a route to a house that I need to head to today and the network kept completely cutting out! No voice, no data. After the service came back (which took at least two minutes) it kept switching between 1X (slow data), 1XEV (fast data), and no signal, leaving me completely unable to do anything for the next minute while it decided what it wanted to do.
It wouldn't bug me so much if it didn't happen so often, and if it were limited to just me. No, the problem here is that Sprint is a terrible service, and I encourage everyone to stay far, far away from it. I've had more dropped calls (dropped calls, to me, meaning calls lost in areas with good reception) with modern Sprint phones (when I was on both ends of the conversation, mind you) than I had with T-Mobile, Cellular One, and even bloody freaking TracFone.
Fuck Sprint.
