Gaming / Ultimate games you want/have.

This will be a dead topic almost instantly but I figured if you ever get something on your list you can update here and talk about it.  All you have to do is type the list of games that you have that are cool beyond coolness and the games you want that are awesome....you can throw anything else you want in also.

Cool games I have:

Guitar Hero--all but Aerosmith and 1...I'm probably not going to get Metallica either
Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2
Final Fantasy X-2 Final Fantasy X and XII
Tekken 5
Gran Turismo 3
a few others

Awesome games I want:

Portal
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix--I have 2, but I want final because it is sooooo much better
Final Fantasy X and XII International
Ikaruga--first I'd need Xbox....unless its for PC also.
a couple others but none that come to mind right now.

Ok, I've seen a ton of movies of this game and a couple games like it on youtube and I'm wondering where the hell I can get these games.

They look godly hard and I love that because I love challenges like that.  If you don't know what I'm talking about then here are a couple of youtube videoes of how amazing these games are.

Ok, this is knda annoying but fun at the same time, you can choose up to five times because I know personally I like more than one of these as much as I can.

My choices and why:

Dancing--Because I like ITG
Driving--There are sooooo many great driving games out like Initial D and Maximum Tune as well as a few others worth mentioning.
Classics--Who doesn't like classics?
Pinball--Love kicking the crap out of high scores
Joystick Fighter--Tekken........oh, and Soul Calibur.

Here is a full conversation I've had with it.  After a little bit...and I mean a really little bit I just started typing in movie/song/game lines that I could remember at the time...oh, and I ended with the greatest of all sayings.  Props to anyone who can guess all of the games/movies/songs the random things are from, and exactly where, what, who and why they said it.

Gaming / Video Game Expo

Ok...my review on the 2008 Video Game Expo from the Philadelphia Convention Center.

There were many stations but only a few worth mentioning.

Crysis (Warworld) or something after the name--Looked amazing, the computers they were playing on looked like they had very perfect central core processors and they ran very well.  I wasn't able to participate in the event but I watched and found out that this expansion or new Crysis is worth getting if you have a computer that can handle it.

Retro Gaming area--Had anything of old games in their arcade cabinet format such as:

1) Lunar Lander
2) Root Beer Tapper
3) Space Invaders
4) Astro Invader
5) Galaga
6) Galaxia
7) Joust....my favorite and now I hold the high score
8 ) Tron....yes....Tron
9) Donkey Kong
10) Donkey Kong Jr.
11) Defender
12) Rampart
13) Q Bert
14) Marble Madness
15) Gauntlet II
16) Castle sumthin
17) Centipede
18) Millipede
19) Dragon Quest
20) Many more I can't remember the name of but are very much liked

Guitar Hero World Tour

DDR/ITG....not worth it because the pads sucked ass

Super Street Fighter III

Tournaments:

1) Super Smash Bros. Brawl
2) Call of Duty 4...4 v. 4 matches
3) Wii Bowl
4) Halo 3
5) Tekken 5...I participated and won the tournament...I used Wang Jinrei and sometimes Asuka Kazama...prize was $112, Guitar Hero III which I gave to my friend, and a trophy....which was cheap plastic...so I gave it to some kid.

Vendors:

There really were no good items that were on sale...let alone many vendors at all.
Only really good stuff on sale were swords and knives....and they were definitely real.

All in all the Video Game Expo was ok because there were exciting parts to it but it wasn't showing anything that was really new...just showing locals the newer stuff that they could be enjoying.

Gaming / Pokemon Accomplishments

Ok...I know not many people play but I decided to make this because I am still into the games because it is a great RPG.  You can post your greatest or your latest accomplishments here.


Red/Blue/Yellow--Had all 151 pokemon and all Legitimate level 100 pokemon of all of them.
Silver/Gold/Crystal--Had all 251 with all shiny legendaries and starters as well as a few other rare pokes.
Ruby/Sapphire--All 396 before I restarted with legendaries shiny and perfect party all shiny.
Leafgreen--Beat the Elite Four with pokes level 45
Diamond--Evolved Riolu into Lucario at level 2

Now there are a few that I didn't put up on the game side because I've never owned them.  With the shiny accomplishments I can tell you that combined it has taken me well over 2000 hours to do all of that...cause there is only a 1 in 65535 or something like that chance in finding a shiny poke so I consider that like getting 1000 perfections in Halo3 or passing DH3 at 6x speed and hitting all of the arrows...just as a translation on the degree of difficulty.

Everyday there will be a new post in here for everyone who comes and checks this and it comes with a deadline each day.

The only people who can post the word of the day is either Spectere or me.

The rules behind the Word of the Day is:

1) You must use that word at least once in your day
2) The time limit to use this word is 18 hours from when you see the posted word
3) The sentence must be a full sentence and be used in a proper fashion
4) You can post your sentence if you want but you don't have to
5) Time asleep does count against you

I bought it for $80.00 and bought for it:

Final Fantasy III
Pokemon Diamond

The thing runs perfectly and it is used...it is really nice and I love it.  I'm wondering what games (within a price range of 0 to 20 dollars) would be worth getting because I don't have a lot of money to spend what with having to buy food and transportation to and from my college.  Although I have this range there are only a couple games that I will break this rule for

1) Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2
2) Megaman games
3) maybe that Spore game coming out...unless its already out.

So, I really want some good games but I don't have a lot of money so can ya help me out?  If you don't want any of your games then :-p on you and I say trade them in...or donate them........to me......maybe.

Independance Day--PSX

I loathe this game with a passion...I rented it from Blockbusters when it first came out and when I died on the first level a million times I never played it again...that is all I can stand to say about this game.

Friday the 13th--NES

OMG!!!! I now have this for my NES Emulator and I love/hate this game.

Love: because the AVGN didn't take it far enough with his review and I found out that there are powerful weapons in the game that can totally destroy Jason and his mom.  You start out with the rock/stone...then if you jump at the right time/place you can get the knife which is better because it goes straight.  The Machete is like Jason's axe that he throws but it goes faster.  The axe is slower but more powerful.  The Torch goes in a higher arc meaning you will most likely miss but the flame stays behind for a few seconds more damaging anyone in contact.  The Pitchfork is the ultimate weapon, it brings back the speed of the machete, combined with the damage of the Torch and adds the ability of the weapon going through the enemies able to kill many more.

Hate: The fucking rock arcs over the fucking zombies and that forest takes soooooooo freaking long to get out of...even if you know where to go.  Also, Jason's mom is a royal bitch, her moves are soo eratic that it is almost impossible to tell wether she's going to attack you or just keep doing what she's doing.  Also Jason is a douche on the 3rd day...if you survive that long.

Random Chat / Life + Jobs + Projects

This thread is about things like where you work and what you are working on in your free time...post as it changes, whenever you feel like or what ever you want.

Life:  I think my life is going pretty well.  I am in college and have excellent grades, I have great health and pretty much everything else is good with me for now.

Job: I work at Giant Food Stores in both the Grocery and Dairy sections.  In Grocery I have to change the endcaps and out "wall of value" every friday and saturday.  Any other day I'm working grocery is boring as hell.  Dairy I have to fill the milk, eggs, juice, iced tea, butter, cheese, etc. and I never really run out of things to do with Dairy.  So I like Dairy much more than I like Grocery because I get to keep doing things while I work...I don't mind not having to do anything but that pretty much defeats the purpose as to why I was hired.

Projects:  The have a few projects in motion right now.  My first and foremost is my SM/MGD3 project Calamitous Strike which is going to be completely solo with the exception of art contributed by my friends.  So far the pack consist of 15-18 songs but it is growing still.  My second project that I'm working on is getting an instruction manual created for my mom because I have a SNES emulator and she has no idea how to work it so I gotta spend sometime making screenshots and instruction guides for all like 150 games I have for it.  I haven't even began on that yet because my game library is still growing and I have to test the roms to make sure they work.

So how about the rest of you...what are you guys up to?

So I've been here for a little bit and I've noticed a few titles/different star systems hanging around such as:

1) Hero Member
2) page like stars
3) giant gold stars
4) regular stars

and I've been wondering how you get those titles because in the one topic ZOMG the first POAST I saw a couple replies stating losing like 900 posts so what is this all really about and what does it take to level up in here....just wondering
