I checked: the second you try to seed Comcast blasts their clients with RSTs and kills the incoming connections.  If I were at home I could show firewall logs but, alas, I'm in Ohio, with my old unhindered SBC DSL.

And yeah, Comcast has been openly denying that they interfere with BitTorrent traffic.  I'm not surprised that their tech support doesn't know about it.  I'd be a bit more troubled if there wasn't an easy way to get around it (with my current set of firewall rules in place I can freely seed).  Even so, they shouldn't be doing it.  There are plenty of legitimate uses for BitTorrent and all uncooperative ISPs do is cause Internet servers to have to work harder.

Yep, you've got it.  I imagine that they can't legally do anything to interfere with anyone else's Internet access (i.e. sending RSTs to non-Comcast customers) so I don't see a whole lot else they can do to stop it that hasn't been tried before.

God, there need to be more sites that act like TPB does. Albeit TPB has been subject of some pretty drastic measures, (companies hiring hackers or people to break into the data center that they are hosted from), but they're still running.

EDIT: ARGH, I just found out that now Demonoid is blocking canadian traffic. Fuck the CRIA.
