There were p much no servers the last time I tried to play it, and that was more than a year ago. I think more people play Quake 3/Quake Live.

(and now that TV Tropes has been linked to, this thread -- and possibly forum -- will quickly become devoid of life.  go me!)

... Thank you for wasting another 30 hours of my life. Every time I go to that site, I don't leave for hours. ;o;

Hahaha, yeah, the first time I heard The Island I thought they'd turned into Deadmau5.

Yeah, the new Pendulum album is alright. I saw them live a little while before they dropped it and it built my expectations for it up to retarded extremes, since it was a great show, but the album wasn't terrible either. I personally would rather have seen them stick with more straightforward DnB (ala Hold your Colour) than try to do all the rock stuff, since in my opinion they're not that great at it (Whoever writes their lyrics should be punched, they're almost as silly as dragonforks, but I had this same complaint about In Silico), but there's still a lot of good songs. That one featuring Steven Wilson is pretty kickass, I almost shit my pants when I saw he was featured on the album. I could just do without that In Flames song, since I haven't been able to listen to anything that band has made since like the 80's :<

Hahahah oh god HR. Yeah that mapset is pretty damn difficult. Alien Vendetta's later maps get retarded as well (Map26[?] has some literally insane monstercount, something like 2500), and Deus Vult is beyond bullshit on UV, unless you just run through everything (which I assume you're supposed to do).

Also: Used to using IPB >_>

torchlight fucking 2?

count me interested...as long as it's months away from diablo 3.  (assuming diablo 3 comes out before i die of old age)

Yeah this is p much how I feel about it. Hopefully this comes out sometime before the next decade, which is when I assume d3 is going to arrive.

Use this, you shouldn't be trying to play Doom without a decent source port anyways, unless you're a glutton for punishment or want to play at 320x200 for some horrible reason. Find the DOOM.wad/DOOM2.wad file from your steam directory, and copy/paste it to the GZDoom directory, and you should be good to go.

Perhaps the quality of their performance is inversely proportional to their blood alcohol level.

This is the general consensus as far as I've heard. They can actually play okay... when they're not blackout drunk, which is most of their shows.

Dubstep's characterized by the off-beat drums and shit I think. I am pretty sure that is the main defining factor, look at the wiki page. I really don't care for artists like Caspa or Rusko much at all, I prefer older dubstep like Skream, Burial, or Kode9 to the more modern stuff. Wobble bass is just getting beaten death and and back again, even by bands that aren't dubstep (I am looking at you, The Bloody Beetroots!). But as far as a club genre goes, I am really happy that this is taking off as opposed to just more of the same hip-hop/rap stuff. Dubstep is something I can actually get into, assuming I am properly medicated.

found my new sci fi to watch

stargate universe

5 episodes in, i should be sleeping right now but i need to watch another episode.

it's like stargate sg-1...well no.  atlantis, sorta...no.

finally a space show (that i am aware of) that doesn't take place in our galaxy.  shit's rad.

Ohh, I haven't seen this yet. I liked SG-1 a bit, but didn't really care for Atlantis. Should look into that :v

I have dreams about work. And not like interesting dreams. Just dreams where I have to do a missort delivery because the morning person couldn't deliver it. Or I have a bunch of on-calls at a bad time. That's when you know you're getting older.

I once did DPH/DXM, and thought I was working the dish line the entire night, and kept trying to stack imaginary plates. My roommate laughed at me for days afterwards. When your drug trips turn into everyday life, you know something is wrong :(

Maybe there's some kind of interference? I had this problem for a while but it turned out just to be my batteries. I really have no idea either @_@
